Mattress size chart — Canada, RV and older sizes
The names are not the sizes. A "queen" in an RV is shorter than a queen at home; a "full" from a century ago is narrower than today's. Here are the numbers, and where each one comes from.
Standard sizes
| Size | Width × length |
|---|---|
| Twin / Single | 38 × 75 in (97 × 191 cm)1 |
| Twin XL | 38 × 80 in (97 × 203 cm)1 |
| Double / Full | 54 × 75 in (137 × 191 cm)1 |
| Queen | 60 × 80 in (152 × 203 cm)1 |
| King | 76 × 80 in (193 × 203 cm)1 |
| California King | 72 × 84 in (183 × 213 cm)1 |
| Small single | 30 × 75 in (76 × 191 cm)1 |
| Crib | 28 × 51 in (71 × 130 cm)1 |
Canadian mattress sizes match U.S. standard dimensions1; what differs is what stores stock — a California King usually has to be custom-ordered in Canada1.
